Author's Review
in the local TV news business and I've had this vehicle for about the last 6,000 miles.
Construction is so-so. The plastic on the doors feels thick and waxy and the fit is mediocre. For instance, around the instrument bezel, the left side of the binnacle cover is flush and the right side projects out about 1/4".
The power window switches are stupidly placed at the bottom of the center console and are NOT intuitive in any way. Plastic, plastic, plastic everywhere.
power is sufficient, the seats are comfortable and the cargo area is large. Oddly, when plugging in my MP3 player, I have to turn the volume on both the player and the SUV to maximum in order to hear the music at all.
It looks OK, although I could do without the silvery-clear taillights (that's soooo 2002!) I see that "regular" tailights are an option- I'd take 'em if I paid for this from my own checking account.
The result is a capable SUV, but not a great one. It should serve my purposes as a cargo carrier for my camera, lights, etc. but I'd skip it as my personal ride.
