Since I was a child I have always been on the look-out for first generation camaro's. There is nothing better on the freeway than a mean looking muscle car coming at you in your rear-view mirror. Its certainly better than a cop! :o)

I got my 1969 Camaro RS in June of 1998. It is not stock of course, but it screams with a beefed up 350. The 2 chambered flowmaster exhaust on it and the radical cam make it as mean as they get.

The camaro performs wonderfully. It is very attentive and a slight push on the accelerator can take you from 45 to 80 in a matter of seconds. I have NEVER had a problem with the car. It is a rush to drive it. Another bonus is that it is easy to work on yourself since it does not have all of the modern computers and components. It is smog exempt (at least in California) and registration is low.

On the other hand, driving a high performance car is more work. I have to watch the temperature, It will only run on high octane gas, and only gets 6 miles to a gallon (if you are really lucky), and the car is a cop magnet. the police see the car and just KNOW that you won't be able to resist spinning the tires at the next light..

I would recommend this car to a person who is looking for fun, adventure, and lots of attention.

I would not recommend this car to those who need a family car, or want an economy or commuter car.
