Review: If at all possible, do not own, rent, borrow, test drive, or otherwise associate with the Chevy Metro. Now, I am a Chevy girl from way back, but this car I just cannot stand. In the past few months I have driven three Chevy Metros, and I am...

Pros: Low price, good gas mileage, easy parking
Cons: Poor drivetrain, falling apart, noisy, uncomfortable
The Bottom Line: This car is no longer sold in the US, and if you're looking for a used car, I would suggest looking at a used Echo, Prism, Civic, Sephia or Protege.

Review: The Chevy Metro sedan is a cousin of the Suzuki Esteem sedan, built in a joint factory in Canada. Most are destined for rental fleets, but there were some of us who needed a tiny car with good gas mileage that sat four persons. The Metro sedan is...

Pros: Gas mileage, price, safety/maneuverability, lots of usable space- hatchback
Cons: Nothing worth mentioning. The pros outweigh any cons.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this car due to the great gas mileage, maneuverability, low cost, good amount of space in back with seat folded down.

Review: It didn't fair too well with the cold weather - the passenger side door froze, and wouldn't shut at all, so we had to tie the door to the emergency brake; then the brakes went on it, then the muffler, and to top it off we got a crack in the...

Review: 1999 Chevy Metro
I believe that the Chevy Metro is one of the best chevy products of 1999. You have a decision to buy the car fully loaded or not loaded. My car has just over fifty thousand miles on it and it's still running like it's... |

Pros: Reliable, Great Gas Mileage
Cons: Cramped, Poorly Finished, Poorly Designed, Spartan
The Bottom Line: It is reliable and great on gas. But somewhat overpriced, cramped and poorly finished. I recommend it with these reservations.

Review: In 1999 I bought my second Metro. I had a 1993 Geo Metro previously, and after 150,000 miles it gave up the ghost. After lots of mourning, I decided to get another Metro. After all, it was the same car I'd just had, really, wasn't it?

Pros: Gas mileage, low maintenance costs (oil changes, tires), cheap purchase price
Cons: "Weighted down feeling if carrying more than 1 passenger, no resale value, expensive replacement parts.
The Bottom Line: Best car I've ever owned. Would buy another one if Chevrolet made it. Buyer beware on buying used.
