I LOVE MY COBALT!
Pros:
Price, Style, Mileage, Peppiness, comfortable ride.
Cons:
Cramped if person is too tall. Back seats do not have much space.
The Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a mid sized car BUY IT! Definitely prefered this car to Hyundai and is nicer looking than others in its class.

Author's Review
As it says in the title, I love my cobalt. This may not be the opinion shared by all, but it is perfect for me and my needs.
I wanted a new car, I wanted a cute car, I wanted a car that had 4 doors, but at the same time I did not want a big/long car. I wanted a car that was peppy, I did not care too much about horse power and all the manly things like acceleration blah blah. I wanted a comfortable ride, a silent ride. And I wanted a car that would be respectible looking without being too stuffy. I got all of that in my cobalt. Oh yes, And I wanted good mileage and the cobalt is great with gas.
The first time I got into a Cobalt, I was amazed at how SOLID it felt. When I shut the door it closed with a nice sounding thump. I don't like tinny cars, they make me feel unsafe.
I was a little unsure about it being a 4 cylinder as I was used to a V6. I guess I must have had an older V6, because when I drove the cobalt it was quite quite peppy. I have to do a lot of driving in HIGH traffic areas, and the car is great with manuevering. Plus the fact that it is much smaller that my older car makes much easier.
I am about 5'6" and am very comfortable in my cobalt. My husband however, is 6'1" and is not comfortable in the drivers seat. He says he feels a little too cramped, and has nowhere to put his elbows. BUT he says he is supremely comfortable as a passenger. I guess being able to shift the seat back is what does it for him. I have to admit that the back seat is quite cramped, so I do not recommend this car if you have more than one passenger frequently. I wanted a smaller car with the option of a back seat because I need it on occasion. Also, the back seat is comfortable enough for a kid.
My ride in the cobalt is great. It is very silent, and I don't feel the rutts and grooves in roads that are undergoing construction. It is a very cushion-y (umm...I don't think thats a word) ride.
The sound system sounds great and even though they use a lot of plastic in the interior, it still looks quite good. The seats are comfortable and I LOVE THE TRUNK SPACE!!! Like I said, the car is great on gas and overall I couldn't be happier with my new ride. It is perfect for me as a married 23 yr old with no kids. Also perfect because it satisfies my need for something "cute" without being too retro (like the bug) yet looking like a respectable ride for an up and coming executive.
