Author's Review
This car was purchased used with just under 58,000 miles after a long search for a Sebring convertible. It is the Limited model and as such came with premium leather, interior and other trim upgrades. The experience so far has been satisfactory by providing the exhilaration of top down motoring at a very reasonable price.
The car has the 24 valve V-6, which while often maligned, has not shown any indications of trouble. It in fact reflects careful and attentive maintenance by it's former owner. After several highway trips, totaling about 2300 miles, it shows no oil use and does not leak. The average local mileage is about 26-27 mpg, and the highway mileage if you can keep below 70 is about 30-31.
The driver's power seat is comfortable on long trips, and the cruise control maintains very consistent speed. The AM/FM/CD is adequate, although the sound quality could be a tad better - tone range is limited. The A/C & heating systems likewise are adequate, but finding the "perfect" temperature setting is sometimes elusive.
Trunk space is a bit tight - adequate for two travelers luggage, but not for four. The rear seats are fine for shorter trips or shorter legs, but adults might find a long trip tiring in the aft chamber.
The ride for the most part is smooth and predictable. It is no race car, but will handle the average duty required of it in fine style. Weatherstripping is above average, no water entry of any kind around the convertible top, and wind noise is minimal.
In summary, if you are looking for a stylish 4-place convertible at a very reasonable price, you would be hard pressed to find a better offering in it's price range.
