Portable Navigation

I bought a NICE for my car because I wanted something that wouldn't ruin the look of the car or damage the wiring. A bunch of Kenwood and Pioneer dealers tried to convince me to get one of those systems, but they are way more money. These competing dealers also tried to tell me that the Clarion unit won't work as well because it only uses a GPS sensor and doesn't have a speed sensor wire. Let me tell you, they were very wrong. A friend has the Alpine unit and my nice works every bit as accurately. I love that it can store music on there and I can take it on business trips and on vacation, and all my music comes with me. I also use the hard drive to store pictures from camera via my laptop. I don't have a big enough hard drive in my laptop. I was stunned at the number of very small roads it had on the mapping. Many out near my cottage were there, and they are only gravel roads - this is 4 hours North of Toronto, ON to boot - Canada usually gets left behind when it comes to mapping, so it's really good.
