Consumer Reports Magazine

I couldn't believe someone put a 1 star rating on Consumer Reports Magazine, related to vehicle purchases! If you buy the magazine subscription through Consumer Reports Union, you also get a free Annual Buyers Guide, which is like getting a one year's subscription to the magazine for free! The Annual Buyers Guide obviously has more room than the monthly magazine to go into details about each product--especially vehicles--because there are so many different brands, models, and other products they must cover in each magazine issue, each month.

The reason I subscribed to the magazine was because I was in need of a new vehicle. Consumer Reports rated the Toyota model I was interested in purchasing above all the other manufacturer's models in the same category. Thanks to the Consumers Buyers Guide, I was able to make a truly informed decision because I was able to compare this model Toyota with similar models that were made by the other car manufacturers. It made me a truly informed buyer before I ever went shopping at the car dealership. The salesman was astounded because my Son, then only in the 7th Grade, was far more knowledgeable about the model I wanted to purchase than he was! That put me in a better bargaining position to get the best deal I have ever gotten on any vehicle I've ever purchased in the past!
