So Did You MuVo Yet? My Son joins the MP3 Player Revolution!
Pros:
small size, no cords to deal with, good sound, easy to use
Cons:
no radio, only 1GB, comes with cheap earphones
The Bottom Line:
I have no previous experience with MP3 players but this seems like pretty decent buy for the money! No radio is a minus.

MY HUSBAND BOUGHT IT FOR OUR SON..
So my hubby and our 10 year old son went grocery shopping. When they got home my son is totally jumping out of his skin and brings out this tiny thing. I mean it is TINY.
So I read the instructions: Unit Dimensions (WxHxD) - 2.93 x 1.44 x 0.59; Weight - 1.64 oz Creative (1) year parts, ninety (90) days labor limited hardware warranty Works with PC running Microsoft 2000 or XP / Will also work with PC running Microsoft VISTA.
That is good we have XP so it is compatible.. It has no cables to attach, you simply plug it right into the PC or laptop to drag and drop your songs right into it. My boy got a hang of it and we have 3 playlists already, 2 for him and one for mom! The songs do transfer fairly quickly, in ten minutes the whole album is loaded.
My son loves that he can read the lyrics while he is listening the song, that is a nice feature! Maybe he is learning to spell some hard words by accident..
I find the earphones quite clumsy and cheap, I was just looking and you can purchase better softer cushioned pair from Creative website for $20. I think I'll end up buying them..
This 1GB version only holds over 250 4 minute songs according to the manufacturer. For extra $20 you could buy the 2GB version online. But for us just learning this MP3 cult 200 songs is plenty and $50 was not a bad price to get this gadget home from Walmart!
I think that the sound quality is very good and it is easy to go forward and even delete the song if you want to without having this connected to the computer.
You can even buy a "boombox" for this device or just connect it to the stereosystem. There is another device that lets you play it on the car radio, I don't have it and someone wrote that it did not work on his car radio like it was supposed to.
You can record up to 125 hours of voice with this tiny thing too. This MuVo only uses one AAA battery and that battery works fine all day long, we just replace it with charged battery every morning. I read from the manual that average battery should last about 18 hours. That is pretty good!
I am little iffy about the way it connects to the computer, that port looks little fragile but so far my son has not damaged it, I'm hoping he will remember to be careful with that! Warranty is not more than 90 days so that IS a concern.
There is no radio at all, I find that a big minus but my son does not care about it. All his friends think the tiny player is totally cool!
So overall this has been a good buy and I give my husband (and the product!) thumbs up!
