Update
Almost 6 months of owning this mp3 player and it still works.  However everything I originally wrote still stands.  Even so, it still beats using a cell phone as a music or video player.


Great video and sound. Long battery life. Plenty of space. Works as advertised.

Menu Problem
But it takes more than that to make a good mp3 player.  The screwy menu logic makes using the player more difficult than it should be.

Scrolling through the playlist does not always allow you to select the song. You sometimes need to go all the way back to the playlist, scroll again, select the song, select "play". Hard to do if you are driving.

Buttons
In regard to moving forward or backward, and volume selection, the buttons lack any tactile feedback.  You may intend to press right but  unknowingly press up.  Unless your fingers are highly sensitive, you generally have to look first.

Locking
Locking the player is accomplished by sliding the power button up. Sliding down turns the player off of course. 

But sometimes just by holding the player you can actually lock it without realizing it.  This doesn't become apparent until you try changing tracks or adjusting the volume.

Resume
I remember when I first began shopping for an mp3 player several years ago.  The feature I was most interested in was resume. I liked listening to old time radio shows and it was tiresome to FF through an hour show.

Now every mp3 player seems to include resume.  Resume on this player is especially pleasing. If you were last watching a video, it does not automatically resume playing when powered up as it does with audio. A nice feature for saving the battery.

Paper Clip
Always keep a paper clip handy. For no apparent reason the player will sometimes lockup or shutdown.  Having a paper clip to poke in the reset hole will save your day.  Don't leave home without one.
