Great retro look
Pros:
If you like the retro look, it's wonderful. All-in-one, compact.
Cons:
Not being able to adjust the tones. No rewind on cassettes.
The Bottom Line:
If you're looking for an all inclusive unit, this is not bad. Plan on purchasing external speakers if you want high quality sound though.

Author's Review
I was in need of a new system, and having shelved my vinyl collection for too many years, I decided to look for something that could do it all. The retro look of this piece is great, but like the other reviewer said, up close you can see the modern features. I chose the color "paprika", which (I thought) turned out to be redder than it looked in the picture. Overall, I am happy with the look of the unit.
Anyone who grew up with a turntable will find the mechanics of it a bit weird. You must pull the tonearm right to click it on, and then it just stops at the end of the record, no auto-return.
One of the strangest things is the cassette player. There is no rewind or fast forward buttons on this particular model. You can push the eject button in halfway to fast forward through a tape, but if you want to rewind back to a song, you must remove it and do it elsewhere.
The CD player handles one CD at a time on this model. It does have the capability of skip forward/reverse/repeat and is programable.
As far as the sound, there are no controls to adjust for bass, so it's all treble, sounds "tinny". That seemed to be fine with the radio and even the cassettes, but with some albums and CD's, you want to hear the bass too. You can hook external speakers up to it, and I did try the Sony speakers from my boombox with it, and the quality definitely improved. If you like to hear some bass in your music, plan on getting some external speakers.
One other minor detail, the power button does not have any sort of light on it. So if you have the unit switched to Phono or Cassette, it is easy to leave it on for days without realizing the power is on. When it's switched to radio or CD, the dial/counter lights up, so it's easy to tell it's on then.
