Think Twice before buying.
Pros:
Recorded sound was not bad, ease of usage.
Cons:
Nothing worked. If you work full time, no tech support
The Bottom Line:
Purchased from a reputable store. Avoid at all cost, even if tempted.Terrible service from company. Stick with the computer program, "Play It Again" to transfer cassettes to CD.

Author's Review
I purchased this unit thinking it would be a time saver and much easier to use than the current computer program I was using to transfer cassette tapes to CD's. I immediately began having problems. The directions do not give a variety of trouble shooting options, nor do they mention tech support. I called the company phone number, I asked the person who answered the phone if I needed to tell them the problems I was having or did I need to speak to a tech. She said to go ahead and tell her. First I asked if the cassette door was to open very slowly on it's own. She didn't know, maybe after use it would open faster was her suggestion. I explained I had made three attempts to record. Each time when your press the CD/Record button, the machine starts up and sounds like a grinding machine, then the noise slowly stops as it is recording. I listened to the CD and noticed the 2nd side had stopped half way through the recording. I took the CD out to see if maybe the CD had run out of space. It had not. I put it back in to finalize and it said "fail" Then I could not get the CD to eject, I pushed the play button, the FF and REV buttons and nothing. I pressed the power button, nothing. It was locked up. I ended up unplugging it and turning it back on and nothing. I then on a guess, not told anything in the directions, pushed the power button and the eject button at the same time and held it in. Finally, it opened. The next time, the standby light came on and it would not play, record, nothing, finalize, it kept saying fail.
When I finished telling her all of the problems I asked what she thought I should do and she said she did not know, but she could have a tech call me within 48 hours and try to walk me through the problems. I asked her if the tech's were there past 5PM, their closing time EST. She put me on hold, didn't know that answer either. Came back and said, "no they leave at 5PM". I explained I worked full time and did not leave my office until 5PM. was someone available now and she said no, they call back in 48 hours. She asked me my name and number and I told her, that was useless, I would not be home when they called. I informed her I would return the unit to the store where it was purchased and write a review on epinions.
We purchase a lot of technically equipment, so not a novice in using different pieces of equip. I have never experienced this many problems with any purchases I have ever made - from the time it was removed from the box through the discussion on the phone - very, very poor customer and tech support.
