Does a Great Job

I received this hand blender as a Christmas present and I love it. It does a great job or making bread crumbs for cooking. I think it also does a great job for pureeing vegetables for baby food. I have even used it to mix up pancakes. It has done a wonderful job with all of these uses.

I love that I can just take it apart and toss the metal blending portion into the dishwasher.

Recently, I have noticed that I have to wiggle the metal shaft from the white top to separate them when I am done using them. It always comes apart fairly easily, but it does take a little work. I don't remember this problem at the beginning. I think that something must get caught.

Sometimes, especially when I am trying to make bread crumbs, the crumbs fly everywhere. I have tried to use the measuring cup/container that came with the blender and crumbs still fly. This is something that you wouldn't get with a traditional blender since they have tops. I tried to solve this problem by taking an extra margarine tub lid and cutting a slit and hole in it so that I can cover the container. This solution has helped some, although I didn't cut the hole small enough to eliminate all crumbs.
