A good 6-month kettle

This is a good-looking but expensive kettle. I was seduced by the Cuisinart name, which, in the past, made good products. It is also a practical and useful kettle, a good appliance for a few months.

I have now had 5 kettles, all replaced from 3 to 6 months after the previous one to it failed. Now the last one has failed and Cuisinart says that because the first one was bought over a year ago, I can go pound sand.

Five kettles in 2 years! You could say they have good customer service because they replaced them, but each failure was 2 to 3 weeks without a working kettle, and now they have cut me off! 4 of them leaked water all over the electrical base and the counter-top, and the last one failed electrically.

This is a household appliance, a kettle, not an aerospace device. Complete waste of time and a probable electrocution hazard with the water leaking onto the base.

Buy it at your peril.
