Cons: only one I can think of is the base is very heavy.

I love my cuisinart food processor. I got this model 10 years ago for my 1st married Christmas. Mechanically it still works like the day we got it. I do need to replace a piece to the lid that after 10 years of use has finally cracked. It was nice to see replacement parts are still available online. I will probably be using it another 10 years.
