Improves food preparation

I have had the Cuisinart 14 Cup Power Prep Plus Food Processor DLC-2014 for over a year now. No point in writing an opinion after using an item only once or twice. It is a wonderful unit with a powerful motor. I use it to prepare bread dough, at times the dough can be very heavy, this unit doesn’t have a problem during the kneading process. We purchased extra blades for slicing, grating and chopping and have used them at one time or another.
We have used it to chop down a bushel of green peppers, to can or freeze. It reduced the amount of time from almost 3 hours to about 45 minutes. Last fall we also processed and prepared about 80 pounds of tomatoes, from our garden harvest, for freezing (crushed for salsas and such) and tomato sauce.
The only buttons, which are under a sealed membrane, are an on switch, an off switch, a pulse button and a dough button. One feature that I would like to see is a speed control. It seems all the food processor manufacturers follow this same principle. The unit is designed with safety in mind, whether it is to seal the electrical controls from spillage or to prevent a user from sticking their hands into the moving blades.
