Move over Ben & Jerry's

This is a great ice cream maker. It's easy to use and to clean. Just use you're favorite recipe and put the mix in the machine and let it churn for 20 minutes. Any chunky bits, like chocolate chips or nuts, get added in the last 2 to 5 minutes. Just warm water, soap and a sponge clean up the freezer bowl and paddles in a snap. I wouldn't want to leave the maker on the counter, but it doesn't take up a huge amount of space in the cupboard. It makes delicious ice cream in only 20-30 minutes. The machine does run a little loud. You won't be able to watch TV in the kitchen while it's running. The ice cream comes out the maker the consistency of soft serve and should be frozen for about 4 hours (in a different container) in order to get hard ice cream. The instructions state this. I keep the freezing tub in the freezer all the time, so it's ready to go. The freezing tub does have to be frozen at least 24 hours, so you can't make multiple batches in one day. I wouldn't waste too much time with the recipes that come with it. Get the Ben & Jerry's recipes book instead. I chose this model after doing quite a bit of research, and I haven't been disappointed at all.
