Excellent for intended use, but has expected limitations
Pros:
Excellent images. Battery life. Versatility. Nice videos. Relatively little redeye.
Cons:
Auto-focus stumbles with in-motion and low-light subjects. Relatively proprietary (i.e., battery, memory card, USB connection).
The Bottom Line:
In most circumstances you will really enjoy this camera.

Author's Review
I've had this camera for several months now. It is small, versatile, with outstanding battery life, and takes wonderful candid pictures. But beware, it will not substitute for a SLR/DSLR camera in situations where the subject is in motion, especially in low light, as the camera does not focus quickly or accurately enough in those situations. For example, if you want a really nice still shot or video snippet of your child in a soccer game while he/she is 20-30 yards away (approaching infinity in terms of focus distance) and running across your field of view, you'll usually like what you get. But if you try to capture that action-packed moment of your child scoring a goal while you are standing just out of bounds next to the goal, and he/she is running directly at you only 20-30 feet away, forget it. Even on a sunny day, the autofocus will usually blur the image. When autofocus stumbles, you then get shutter lag. Thus, in situations that do not require rapid auto-focus adjustments, the camera takes great pictures and the video is also quite nice. Reality note: I rate shutter lag as "good" based on "reasonable" applications of the camera. Shutter lag can be problematic (as I have found) in some circumstances, such as when you try to take a picture of kids roasting marshmallows around a campfile in near darkness. The auto-focus assist light is not much help if they are moving around at all. The camera's algorithms get lost. Expect blur. I have noticed that this camera seems to do better than most ultra-compact models at minimizing red-eye.
