It worked good for a while

I originally purchased this router when my wife bought a new laptop with an internal wireless G network card. For about six months, the router worked fine. I maybe had to reset it twice in the first six months.

After that first six months, the wireless drops out constantly. I started having to reset the router several times a day. I tried changing settings, nothing. I tried upgrading the firmware, which worked for about one week, then it was back to it's normal routine. I even tried installing firmware for another D-Link router, but it still will not hold a wireless signal. The hardwired ports work just fine, by the way.

It seems like with all wireless routers (not just D-Link), its fairly hit or miss whether or not any given router will work properly. I've read reviews for different routers where people worship "router x" as their problem solver and someone else says it is about as useful as a rock on their desk.

Maybe I got a bad one, but I'm headed to the local electronics retailer to buy a new router. It will not be a D-Link.
