As Good As It Gets.

Date of Review:  Nov 2, 2008
The Bottom Line: It works very, very well. Solid feel, fast heatup, smooth glide, good steam, long cord, auto shutoff, reasonable cost for features.
Review: I had very specific needs when it came time to find an iron to replace the useless lightweight model that mercifully died.
I sew and quilt, and needed an iron for pressing seams open, as well as general ironing.
Teflon coated irons are...

Black & Decker D2030 Digital Advantage Iron with Auto Shut-Off

Date of Review:  Mar 26, 2009
The Bottom Line:

The B&D D2030 Iron heats up fast, produces great steam, and has cut my ironing time in half.

Review: I've always hated ironing because I've always hated my irons. I've always bought the cheapest models because I never really used them much, not unless I was heading to town and wanted my clothes free of wrinkles. They would tear up eventually and if...

Black and Decker D2030 is FUN - really no kidding!

Date of Review:  Mar 19, 2008
The Bottom Line: Great buy and fun to use! Does a great job - but it is heavy, just use that to your advantage to let the iron do most of the work
Review: Okay, let's face it, ironing is not a fun chore by any stretch of our imagination, but when you throw in a little technology and a great tool; well it is not all that bad. The Black and Decker D2030 has added a little F-U-N to this boring and...

If you hate ironing, buy this iron!

Date of Review:  May 13, 2009
The Bottom Line: This iron is relatively inexpensive. It's pricier than some but performs as well as or better than irons costing $100 more. Do you need to spend that on an IRON!?
Review: I have had the pleasure of being the proud owner of the B&D D2030 iron for a few months now and I cannot be more pleased with its performance.

My former iron, also a Black and Decker, was failing after 12 years of hard work. It was time for...

Digital Disaster

Date of Review:  Dec 6, 2008
The Bottom Line: Don't even consider this iron; I'm betting anybody giving it more than 2 stars hasn't had it more than a week!
Review: I'd never had other than a lower-end or base model Proctor Silex or G.E. steam iron--none of which gave any cause for complaint except that some wrinkles took a lot of work to iron out--but one day I just decided to "treat" myself to what I thought...

Love Black and Decker

Date of Review:  Mar 3, 2008
The Bottom Line: Great steam and overall performance.
Review: I bought this iron after my top of the line Rowenta iron kept leaking and spitting on my ironing. After having enough of that I purchased my Black and Decker and could not be more happy with the performance. I have had it over three years now and it...

It makes other irons look like they're toys!

Date of Review:  Apr 19, 2009
The Bottom Line: I paid $43.04, but I've seen it on sale for $30 at Amazon. You won't be unhappy if you buy this one at any price.
Review: I can't believe I waited so long to buy a new iron! I was using a wedding present from 37 years ago and it just didn't seem to get hot enough. After reading the reviews on irons in Consumers Reports, this one was a clear top performer. My only...

Three years of light use won't cut it

Date of Review:  Nov 13, 2007
The Bottom Line: Do not buy a Black and Decker digital iron unless you only need an iron for three years.
Review: This was a great iron while it lasted, three years. Its best features were the excellent steam supply and volume control. They made it easy to iron out wrinkles. Ironing went fast and was less of a burden. Clothes looked better in less time and with...

Fantastic iron

Date of Review:  Mar 23, 2007
Review: I just bought this iron as my top of the line Rowenta kept spitting all over everything. I love, love, love this Black and Decker, and wish I'd made the switch years ago.
The Black and Decker takes out creases in cotton like nothing I've ever...

Still love it!

Date of Review:  Jan 23, 2007
Review: I bought my Digital Advantage (D2030) (stainless steel plate) about a year ago and I still love it. It irons out difficult wrinkles very nicely. When I first got it, I found it to be a little heavy, but got used to it quickly, as I found I did not...
