5 disc DVD with SACD and DVD Audio

The Bottom Line: If you need to hide a dvd player from young hands or desire a multi-player, it is better quality player then your average Sony.
As a Yamaha fan I was hoping this would live up to the Yamaha reputation of great Audio/Video gear.
Unfortunately he has fallen short of my expectations. First when you purchase a multi-disc player, you have to expect to lose some quality features due to the extra mechanisms needed for multi-disc operation.
I needed the multi-disc, because I have to hide the player behind locked doors away from a toddlers need to explore. If this were not the case, I would always prefer a single disc player over a multi-disc player.
As far as the cons.
1. Disc loading can be anywhere from twenty seconds to a minute. Longer if you can't remember which disc number you want to watch.
2. If you pause the movie, eventually it will go into screen saver mode and then stop. On many players all you have to do is hit play to resume. On the C750, if it has stopped in this mode, when you hit play it starts the disc over from the beginning. On most single disc players you can also shut power off and when you turn power back on it will resume at where it was stopped. The C750 does not offer this feature.
As far as the pros.
For the money it is not a bad deal.
1. Five disc player
2. Play exchange. Allows you to change out CD/DVDs while a DVD is playing.
3. Plays SACD and DVD Audio.
Bottom line:
If you need to hide a dvd player from young hands or desire a multi-player, it is better quality player then your average Sony.
On the other hand if you desire a higher quality DVD, check out Denon DVD players. Unfortunately you do have to pay more for this quality.
