A Real Lifesaver!

We recently downsized our household and moved into an older home without a dishwasher. Our home is located in the country and so isn't hooked up to the city sewer system, only a leach line which severely limits the amount of water we can use each day. This is the reason the original owners didn't install a built-in dishwasher.

I came across the Danby here at Epinions.com and was impressed with the reviews others had given it. What really sold me was that a previous reviewer stated that the Danby used very little water. I decided it was worth a shot and ordered it.

I am so impressed by how easy it is to use, how small it is, and how well it cleans. It is also much quieter than I thought it would be. The dishwasher at our last home was so loud that I would have to wait until bedtime to start it up so as not to wake the baby.

Since I stay at home with our two small boys, we do a lot of down-home cookin' to save money. Needless to say, this makes for lots of dishes so having a dishwasher is key. I also really like using the top of the Danby as extra counter space and as a kitchen island while I'm cooking. I have a large wooden cutting board that I keep on top of the unit. When I'm cooking I just roll the Danby into the center of the kitchen and use the top for food prep. It's great because I can load the washer as I'm cooking. When I'm done cooking I just pop in the soap, hook it up, and walk away. By the time dinner is ready, the dishes are done! They are always so super clean.

It's a fantastic little unit and I can't imagine being without it! We are an active family with small children and now I'm not tied to the kitchen doing dishes by hand!
