My FAVORITE shoes I've ever bought-and I'm picky!

I live in Seattle. We have to have special kinds of shoes for our wet, muddy weather. Something durable to standing, walking, and our weather. But something I can wear at work, or with a pair of jeans. I must say I am a "clog" girl, I like the height clogs usually are.

I got my pair of these Professional Black Oiled Clogs from Zappos.com for about $116.00 and free shipping. I think Zappos always offers free shipping and free returns. I bought from them because for one, the decent return service(just in case I needed to return) and all their reviews. I listened to the reviews which give them great reviews. I also read to "size" up a size, which I did and am glad I listened.

So these run 1 size too small. I wear a size 10, so I got an 11 which is 41 in Dansko sizes. They are tight the first week, but then the leather stretches and feel GREAT! They have EXCELLENT arch support that's the no. 1 reason I bought them. I was having arch and heel problems where my heel would hurt all the time, I think they call it plantar fasciatis and are painful. Usually from not enough arch support or your weigh bearing down on your foot and making your feet flat. Okay, I make no medical claims, but geez every time I get that problem aforementioned, I wear these and in 3 days time my pain is gone. When before it took over a year no joke!

You need no arch or heel supports in these clogs. They will have about 1/2 or 1/4 of an inch space between your heel and the clog and your heel may come up slightly when you walk and that is good. It makes them comfortable. They don't rub. They are good and wide. They are universally liked and universally comfortable. The black oiled matches EVERYTHING practically. Jeans, slacks, long skirts, you name it. I bought these mainly for the orthopedic qualities it had.

Now the price tag was hard to swallow at first. But I've owned 2 years and I can see another 2.5 out of them. I wear them daily. My feet never hurt! I run errands in them usually, wear them in the rain even. Once in awhile I waterproof them. I have oil restorer but I don't need to use it, they never scuff or get nasty. My feet never get cold or wet. They are not too heavy and I don't hurt my ankles because the heel is not too high, it's perfect. The heel is reinforced with plastic inside. Seams do not rub against skin. I do not sweat in these. These are very popular with nurses in the light colors. The bottom has what they claim to as a "rocker" bottom which gives you a rocking motion as you walk and is perfect for your arches while walking/standing. These clogs are stapled (which looks cool). Carries a podiatric seal, so you know they're good for your feet! They are roomy.

I wouldn't mind owning more of these clogs in different colors. They are great with or without socks, and roomy even with socks.

They also sell at Nordstrom or Nordstrom.com and Amazon.com for similiar prices. I even talked to a complete stranger online moving to my area and they recently went out and purchased one of these pairs of shoes and then emailed me back to give me rave reviews!
