Pros: Lots of things done right.
Cons: Too many things also done wrong.
The Bottom Line: Only buy this game if you really enjoy sitting around a lot not doing anything or if camping is your idea of great fun.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Where to start with this game? It seemed to have a lot of promise when I first started playing it. Lots of nice things that were handled so well made it a lot of fun to play despite some of the problems. But the more I played the more the problems...

Pros: Good graphics, good control configuration, great atmosphere.
Cons: Weak sound at times, main cities can be laggy.
The Bottom Line: Dark Age of Camelot is a great starting point for those wanting to venture into the world of online gaming.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: To be perfectly honest... I'm not fond of RPGs. I'm what some consider a brainless FPS player through and through. I like seeing things blow up when I hit a button, running around mindlessly jamming down whatever key fires my strongest weapon...

Pros: Improved graphics, one new race two new classes per realm, new continent to explore.
Cons: A decent expansion, but a bit overpriced, no free play-time.
The Bottom Line: A good expansion, but unless you've exhausted Dark Age of Camelot, you'd be better off waiting. The graphics improvements are almost enough to justify the price, but not quite.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Mythic released The Shrouded Isles to build on the success of Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC), arguably the most successful Massively Multi-Player On line Game (MMPOG). If you are not familiar with Dark Age of Camelot, feel free to check my Epinion at

Pros: Variety of skills, roles, and races.
Cons: Some of the classes are a little too powerful and others have serious limitations.
The Bottom Line: Love it and will continue to play. I would recommend it to anyone interested in fantasy role-playing.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Dark Age of Camelot is a great game that allows its residents to play any role they desire: merchant / manufacturer, soldier / mercenary, or explorer. With numerous races and more being added all the time in expansion packs, the possibilities are...

Pros: Fun, expansive game world, endless interactions, roleplay with people from all over the world
Cons: Occasional disconnects, uneven patching, annoying people
The Bottom Line: Get this game. It is that good. Period.

Review: I am an old school gamer. From my early years when I could be found navigating a theif thru the dark alleys of a D&D game to present day when my computer costs more than some cars I have revelled in the ability to escape my cares and woes in the...

Pros: Good graphics, lots of choices for characters.
Cons: Gets boring...really boring.
The Bottom Line: Maybe it will get better, maybe it won't, until then though I'm personally spending my time doing something else.

Review: First off allow me to apologize for the title, you have no idea how hard it is not to do that. Anyway, on with the game.
I was in beta for this game, and it had alot of promise. A ton of classes to be, three realms, lots of races, lots of... |

Pros: Glorified new instant message
Cons: It sucks like a Hoovah!
The Bottom Line: Do not waste your time on this junk, unless of course you lead a really boring life and crave social interaction any way you can get it.

Review: Dark Age of Camelot has got to be one of the biggest wastes of time I have ever encountered in the computer gaming world. I played it just a little bit longer than I did the original Outpost (by Sierra) game. I have a few friends who had just...

Pros: 3 realms with very different classes, structured pvp conflict, visually appealing, good soundtrack
Cons: time sink, limited content, hard to learn what you will need later on your own
The Bottom Line: I don t know if I would recommend this game to someone else, had a blast, but I d have to tell them to expect to roll with the punches.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I was one of the masses who bought this game on release, and I'm one of the few from that era that is still playing. Dark Age of Camelot had and still has tons of potential to blow everyone else out of the water in the MMORPG market. The game has...

Pros: Complex social context, limitless challenge fighting monsters, or other players
Cons: Monthly subscription, can be addictive
The Bottom Line: A challenging massively multiplayer game that creates a complex social weave. Fight monsters, or fight players from other realms; the possibilities are endless.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I find it really tough to review something as large and subjective as a Massively Multi-Player Online Game (MMPOG). The amount of content and potential in a game like this dwarfs almost every other game and genre out there.

The Bottom Line: A good game, but not the best of it's class in my opinion!

Review: Just like EQ, DAOC is a game where you will only have alot of fun if you put alot of time and effort into it. This is most definately not a game for casual players. I bought DAOC for the RVR aspect since it sounded very interesting. However, unless...
