2 cats, 1 toddler, and the vacuum still wins !
Pros:
lightweight, great suction, no bags.
Cons:
Cleaning the internal filter is a pain.
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this vacuum to anyone looking for an easy to use machine, but not to someone who is dealing with arthritis due to the filter cleaning needed.

Purchased this vacuum several months ago, and love it just as much today as I did then.
I have a toddler - dry cereal everywhere model, and 2 cats (1 short hair, 1 medium hair) - shed everywhere models, and we live in a fully carpeted apartment.
I usually run this vacuum twice a day to deal with all the food and fur issues, and other than the time consumed by having to shake out the internal filter each time, I really like this vacuum.
The clean canister is great amusement for my toddler - he likes to see the fur fly around in there, it's relatively easy to clean as well.
The double filter really cuts down on the dust around the apartment - no clouds of dust following me around as I vacuum.
The long cord allows me to do more than 1/2 the apartment from one central outlet, and is easy to wrap back around. The body of the vacuum has a quick release feature to instantly unravel the entire cord which I really like.
My only complaint is that the internal filter needs to take a real beating to get it to come clean - and unless you do so outside, you end up throwing a ton of dust into the air when you clean the filter.
