Just Not Tough Enough!

Just last week I went out to Wal-Mart to purchase a vacuum. I live in a small apartment so I was looking for something that was not to big to fit in small places. I walked down the aisle and saw this cute little dirt devil that looked like the perfect vacuum to meet my needs. To my surprise this was only the beginning of my surprises. I had heard only good things about dirt devils in the past and thought it would make a good investment. Wrong!!!
I took it home and decided to try it out. Boy was this a headache. I started in my living room where I have pretty thick carpet, this thing would not even pick up a few pieces of grass that I could clearly see. I wondered if there was a place for settings on it for thicker carpet, not a chance. It has a funny triangle part that runs across the carpet and it seemed to have kept getting stuck. It took too much work to bend over the entire time while vacuuming to keep that part from flipping up. If you have one of these or buy one you will know exactly what I am talking about!
I fought with this thing for about 10 minutes and gave up! I then decided to try the kitchen where it is flat, thin carpet. It ran much smoother but still was not picking up the visible pieces I bought the damn thing for! I was very disappointed at this point.
When I finished fighting with it I decided to wrap the cord up and put it in the closet, but when I was wrapping the cord I noticed that there was a lot of dirt in the compartment. Knowing this thing didn't take bags I emptied the compartment. It was full of dirt. I couldn't figure this out why it would pick up that dirt but not the visible dirt.
I finally became so frustrated with my new dirt devil I threw it in the closet and haven't touched it since!
