Cat In The Hat

Today was my first time watching this movie starring Mike Myers who played as the cat.

This movie was released in the theatres this past November.

This movie is a non-cartoon feature, but I really liked it very much, even though, I normally don't watch movies that are for children, but this movie is really cool.

The houses in the movie reminds me of the ones I see in children's fairy tale story books, but they look so awesome.

What I like about this movie is the action scenes. I think the movie director did a very superb job at directing this. Everything was done in such good taste and there was nothing violent about this movie.

The scene that I liked best is when Sally and Conrad's babysitter Mrs. Quan was dragged off the couch by the cat and hung up in the closet. I laughed my butt off so hard.

And then the other scene when Sally and Conrad's dog takes off from the house and their mother's boyfriend catches it and decided to take it with him to their mother's place of employment to complain to her about the children's behavior, but then the cat and the two children show up and the cat played a trick on the boyfriend to get the dog back and then they all end up taking off in the boyfriend's car, leaving him to catch a ride back with the children's mother. Then when the mother was pulled over the side by the cops for "speeding," the boyfriend sees his car whizzing by with the kids in it and of course, little Conrad driving it which was so funny as hell!

This movie has some real amazing special effect to it. What it is, is that when the cat and the kids messing it up, it was miracously cleaned up by the Cat's two little female dopey helpers. And not only that, but part of the house turned into a cliff that had water flowing down from the rocks and when the children's mother's boyfriend tried to attack them, he was thrown off the cliff by the cat and into the "purple water" which was even funnier than hell.

And the family's pet goldfish. He was transformed from a real live goldfish to a talking goldfish with big old bulging eyeballs.

And notice all the cars in the movie. They were all Ford Focuses. They were either lime-green or bright yellow, except for the cat's car and the children's mother's boyfriend's. The boyfriend drove a two-seater Ford Thunderbird convertible.

I find that Mike Myers does a hell of a good job in his performance as the cat. He really has that talent when it comes to acting. And he's the one who played in the movie "Austin Powers" in the late 1990's. He's a great actor.

This movie overall is very unique. Not only that, but it is very outstanding. This is much better than watching a regular children's television movie by all means.

I highly recommend this movie to all people of all ages.

This movie is currently playing at most theatres.
