The Bottom Line: If you are looking for the original Cat in the Hat, this isn't it. It is in some ways, but really isn't. I did enjoy watching it with my kids.

Read the Book Instead

The Bottom Line: This movie was a big disappointment. It takes Dr. Suess's children's book and adds vulgarity to it.
Review: "Cat in the Hat" is a nice Dr. Suess book that we own. It is a book of rhymes and silliness. The movie had little of the same story plot as the book, but only contained the same characters.

The Bottom Line: Not recommended. Too vulgar for young children and too depressing for anyone who appreciates the genius of Dr. Seuss.

The Bottom Line: I think it would have done better if they had cast "Steve" from Blues Clues, then it would have been the toddler movie it should have been.
