Impressive technology, when it works

The Bottom Line: Good list of features, convenient layout of inputs and outputs and a low price. The record functions are finicky and accept only a limited type of disk.

A DVD writer that takes some user effort to learn

The Bottom Line: Like it or love it. Take the time nd effort to learn.
Review: Having a problem recording a movie? Lets see why. Media is a big thing with this recorder. If your DVD's don't have a +R or +RW, dump them, as they will not work. Forget those that claim otherwise.

Save your Money, buy a better recorder

Don't use timer and finalize

Review: This recorder has many firmware problems. The one that is most annoying to me, and is repeatable every time, is that you cannot finalize a disk if you recorded it using the timer. If you try, you end up with a disk that just locks up the firmware...
