Nice pictures, but look elsewhere

Two of my standard SD memory cards do not work in my R380 printer or in one on display at the local CompUSA store.

But they worked in a $99 Epson printer there and several hp printers.

I bought this from the Epson Store on-line, big mistake. Epson Support is not helping. Epson return and exchange keeps referring me to technical support.

Tech Support keeps arguing that the cards are bad. The cards work in my camera, in the computer's card reader, several HP printers, and in an Epson printer. The cards are not defective, the card reader in the R380 must be.

Epson will not investigate that theory. A recall would be expensive and the consumer is left holding the bag as usual.

Epson is fighting making an exchange, they ignore my requests for return authorization. Phone calls are answered with a recording saying that my call will be answered in approximately 56 minutes. I don't call that service.

They also told me that the R380 cannot read SD memory cards 1GB or higher. Why does one of my other 1GB cards work in it then?

Bad experience buying directly from the Epson Store, go to an electronics store so you can just take it back if it doesn't perform as advertised.

Every time the printer is turned on or starts up, ink is pumped through the nozzles into a pad. When that pad gets saturated the printer has to be serviced. First you pay through the nose for ink then you have to pay again to have it thrown away.
