Excellent Doorstop

This printer makes an excellent doorstop. As far as printing goes, a doorstop might do a better job.

The colors are whacked out on plain and photo paper. But when you try again without its color correcting it's a bit better.

The ink is expensive (~$15/cartridge and there are 6 of them) and doesn't last long at all; I'd say I get 20 full-color pages before I've gotta replace one or more cartridges. On the plus side, buying the printer (with the ink) is actually cheaper than buying just the ink cartridges -- no joke! So when the ink runs out, just buy a new printer. One of this type or another, take the ink out, use it if you can, move on.

The CD printing -- as long as you do just black or aren't picky about color quality -- is handy, but that's about it. However, even that seems to have stopped working on this printer now.

I've heard people rave about Epson's high end printers, and maybe that's true. I, however, was just looking for a pretty decent home office printer. This one I wouldn't buy for an enemy, nor could I recommend it to anyone looking for a decent printer.
