What a shame.....

We purchased one in brushed stainless steel with a black handle. Great looking kettle. Sleek design, well balanced and very modern looking. The on/off button lights up in an electric blue color which adds to the entire look as well. Boils the water fast. Can actually hear the water heating up immediately upon pressing "on" button. A little heavy when filled to maximum amount, but because the design is well balanced - easy to pour without having to worry about scalding yourself. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the on/off switch. Had the unit approx. 2 weeks when, I heard the off switch click, yet the unit continued boiling the water for a LONG time. Used it again, it was fine. Then the very next day it stopped working all together! Had to return the unit and was willing to try another one, but there wasn't one to purchase so we bought a Breville Ikon (SK550XL) instead. What a shame as I really LOVED what the Krups looked like, and figured we may have just been unlucky and bought a faulty one. (Now we will never know....) I Will write a review in about 2 weeks when we have used the Breville for a while.
