My Perky Little Breakfast Mate!

Anyone who has read my reviews knows how I love Farberware percolators. I went to drip-style back in the late seventies when the Mr. Coffee machines got popular, used them for years along with two of the Bunn machines. When my last Bunn died, I bought a Farberware percolator on a whim and fell in love with it.

Percolators have gotten an unfair rap in the past, that I'm sure of. I grind my own beans and my coffee does NOT taste burned. I don't care how many times the water goes through the grounds, I care what the coffee tastes like! And Farberware does it right. I use the little round 3.5" filters in the bottom of the basket. My coffee is not greasy and it doesn't have an aftertaste. Friends and associates certainly drink enough of it!

Unlike some flimsy little pots I've come across, this percolator is every bit as substantial as its larger sisters. It ain't lightweight; all but the base is stainless steel. After years of trying to clean all those little glass carafes, it's a joy to be able to run a soapy sponge over this little body!

Have you ever tried to find those little mini-filters for mini-drips? No problem here; the basket for the small Farberware is the same diameter as its full-size sister, only not as deep. The 3.5" flat filters it uses are available in any grocery store--and inexpensive, too!

This little pot will brew its four cups in about three minutes. I use it most mornings; one big mug at home, and one huge mug for the morning commute. I used to waste coffee every morning in the bigger pot. This one brews just the right amount.

Like the larger Farberware pots, this little percolator is a modern classic. It'll look great on any counter, especially retro kitchens.

You may confound your friends by purchasing this little charmer, but when you enjoy your first cup, you'll know why!
