Great While It Lasted
Pros:
Ease of use to start with.
Cons:
Had a very short life.
The Bottom Line:
Don't bother with this machine. It doesn't last long enough to even hassle getting it or disposing of it.

I received this shredder on a Monday. It worked nicely, if not a bit noisily. I had one jam, but was able to get it cleared after working with it a while. On Friday, it wouldn't work. The green "go" light was lighted, it was turned on, but the motor would not begin when paper was added. The reverse motor would work. I called Fellowes' customer service. They were nice and polite and attempted to help me troubleshoot machine. Apparently, the little plastic piece that moves aside (best way I can describe it) and allows the motor to begin is somewhat subject to failure, because, WHILE SERVICE REP WAS ON PHONE WITH ME, HE BROKE THE SAME MODEL HE WAS WORKING WITH TO HELP ME TROUBLESHOOT MINE. My retailer (Quill) issued a refund, and when Quill brought it up in their computer system, it came up to just have consumer throw unit away -- they didn't even want it returned!
I had read about this machine and read some pretty good reviews about it. I would read these with a grain of salt. A machine that only works for four days, and that the retailer doesnt even want returned, must have some serious failings. I will buy another shredder, but it will NOT be this model!
