YOU'LL BE SHREDDING FOR A CENTURY WITH LARGE AMOUNTS

This shredder was a Fathers' Day gift for my husband. I thought it would be a good idea to shred all those credit card offers, etc., that you get daily in the mail. Not only that we had large amounts of records that needed to be destroyed. Besides what can you get for Fathers' Day besides a toy?

After the initial fun, the daily shredding was discontinued. This shredding business requires a certain focus. It's not like the garbage disposal or the trash compactor. You have to pay attention.

We had an attic full of records that needed to be destroyed so I started. After about thirty minutes I could see this would be a lifetime project and switched to burning it in the fireplace. I felt a little guilty but then I met a retired attorney who also was getting rid of a lot of old records. He just made a big bonfire outdoors and burned his records all at once. He too, realized it was an impossible task to shred large amounts. It seems this is a
problem with shredders. I remembered the one at work that had the same problem. I assumed it was because it was one of those government lowest bidder products. It was just a characteristic shredder.

Well, it made an entertaining Fathers' Day gift for about a week.
