Pros: beautiful English scenery, cute kids, Depp and Winslet, sweet, comforting
Cons: manipulative, sappy, unrealistic at times, predictable (all of which are forgivable)
The Bottom Line: Star-studded, melodramatic biopic. Flawed, but enjoyable nonetheless.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: "I feel used," I said, wiping a small tear from my cheek as Finding Neverland s credits rolled. The film adaptation of Allan Knee s play The Man Who Was Peter Pan is wholesome family fare enjoyable, sugary sweet, but not exactly...

Pros: Dustin Hoffman is excellent.
Cons: Poorly directed, poorly edited, poorly acted, poorly shot, poorly scored...really, quite poor.
The Bottom Line: For a film about the wealth of imagination, it's sure lacking it.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Right after one finishes watching Finding Neverland, one thinks that they've just seen a five-star film. Such is the initial power of un-imaginative, by the numbers cinema. Everyone, really, is lazy at heart and mind. That's why I suspect...

Cons: none
The Bottom Line: a warm and moving portrayal of an authors inspirational play and a regained youth

Review: As is often the case with famous authors, many people will be familiar with their literary output but know very little about their creator. Finding Neverland addresses this imbalance in the case of J.M. Barrie, author of one of the most famous...

Pros: touching, elegant, and imaginative
Cons: bring lots of tissues
The Bottom Line: An inspiring testament to love, imagination and holding on to the child within.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I had good reasons to suspect I wouldn't like this movie:
1. No sex, no nudity, no violence, not even a curse word. What's the point? 2. I don't like Peter Pan. 3. Johnny Depp, who wears eyeliner better than anyone in Hollywood,... |

Pros: A moving film, personally and emotionally. Brilliant!
Cons: Title may imply this is a children's film.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this film highly, the viewer will experience something wonderful and personal.

Review: When viewing this movie, I was unsure of what I should expect. The title is the trick, and the film is not another "Hook".
That stated, this is a difficult film to write an opinion of and truly do the film justice. How much of the plot is... |

Pros: Great Screenplay, intelligent dialogue, everything that most movies today lack
Cons: OK, MAYBE a little slow but the film's only an 1 hr 45 min!
The Bottom Line: Movie Magic at its VERY best. What movies should be. Go See It!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: *Warning: A few spoilers....but not many.*
Films these days have lost a certain touch that makes them special. It's very hard to describe, but if you watched films from back in the day (especially the Golden Age of Film back in the '20s... |

Pros: A nice slice-of-history movie, well acted, beautifully designed, squeaky clean.
Cons: Seems a little slow at times, emotions played very low-key.
The Bottom Line: A good low-key movie dealing with the theme of maturity, fine acting and beautiful design, very intelligent and literate script.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The entertainment world is full of surprises. Here is the story of a man who was chronically immature, and who wrote the great play (Peter Pan) celebrating the unwillingness to grow up--and yet the movie somehow manages to celebrate maturity, which...
