It works but I wish it could work better.

We got this as a baby shower gift. For the first week we used it, it worked great. We were able to put the base in baby's room and play lullabies and we could hear the music from the receiver in the other rooms. It was a life saver as our baby usually falls asleep holding him listening to the music and we are not stuck in the baby's room. We didn't notice any static at first but after a week of use, we could hear loud static coming through the receiver. Where the light indicator used to be on 1 bar when it's silent, it now always stays at 2 bars or more. It became so irritating we found ourself use the monitor less and less.

Another issue we had was the battery life. We usually have the receiver plug into the wall socket but occasionally we use it on the battery. To my surprise, the battery went out in little over one day of use and it wasn't even on for the whole day.

The monitor is straight forward to operate so no rocket science there. It comes with two channels and volume control. The good feature is that it comes with two receivers.

The Fisher Price Sound and Lights Monitor works as advertised with a few drawbacks. But with so many monitor options out there, I can't recommend this product.
