My Story

Living in an apartment does not afford the luxuries of space. We had multiple options from which to choose from when looking for a high chair. There are fold ups, standard fixed chairs, and then compact high chairs like this one.

The fold up high chairs appeared to be something worth purchasing but in the end it would still take up space and they did not feel very sturdy. The fixed chairs are nice because they do not require one of your dining room chairs but then where do you put it when you are finished?

The compact chair offers several features which the others lack. The compact chair is small and easy to fit in the car and therefore you can take it with you to restaurants and friends. It is very sturdy and straps easily onto any chair. It has a reclining feature, adapts for larger babies and up to toddler age.

There is an easy push button on the front to remove the tray. Everything is a plastic blend and easy to clean. In short, this is by far the best high chair for any apartment dweller, active family on the go, or for those who like convenience.

Sometimes we use the tray and sometimes we don't, it works very well either way. The tray fits alright in a kitchen sink and cleans easily with a sponge. The soft backed cushion can be removed easily for cleaning, if necessary.

Cons

Now there are some downsides. You must strap in the chair securely or else you are at risk of falling. The chair it is placed on must be sturdy – nothing wobbly. The easy push button in front does not seem to last very long – after just three months it does not work very well so we must use the side latches. Lastly are the straps, they adjust but not easily but work very well.

In the End

We purchased this high chair from Target for $49.99 + tax. Although there are several downsides they are very minimal – overall, it is a strong 10 out of 10 for functionality, ease of use, compatibility and easy clean-ups. You can also find it at several other locations if you do not live near a target, I suggest Amazon since it qualifies for free shipping and does not have a state tax.
