I really love this dishwashing machine.

It took me awhile to get to love this dishwasher. I read all the negative reviews but wanted to buy it anyway. After my husband carefully installed it I was disappointed in it's performance. I never used the dry cycle on my old machine and I expected the same of this one. However, after each load I found water on the top sides of the dish drawer which dripped onto the dishes when I opened the drawer making the dishes wet. And the inside drawer was always wet. Plus I didn't think the dishes were drying like they should be after 2 hours going through it's full cycle.

Because the washer was under warranty I called for service. What I then learned about this machine made all the difference. Here's what the service man told me:

If using the dry cycle make sure you always have JetDry in it's cup (I didn't). Make sure your water is at least 130 degrees (mine wasn't). And run your water out of the faucet until it's hot before starting up the dish washer. The service man didn't know why it works but he assured me it did.

So that's what I did and now I don't have any problems. After running the hot water first I found I didn't need to go through the dry cycle. Everything, including the drawer comes out bone dry. So a load of dirty dishes takes just 56 min. and everything comes out clean. Because I don't use the dry cycle I don't need to keep the cup filled with JetDry but I do anyway in case I want to use a different setting then the one I always use.

One thing I don't like is that I can't fit large plates/platters in the dishwasher. I called Fisher & Paykel and they told me they sell a dish rack that stacks the plates on more of an angle for $14 so I bought it. It doesn't really do a better job so I just do large plates by hand. The woman I talked to said Australians eat off smaller plates then Americans do. How funny is that!
