Inexpensive but you get what you pay for

I purchased this monitor because it was on sale. I got one monitor and one base unit for $19.95 at Kmart. I thought I was getting a good deal but its not worth it.

The monitor does well with your baby. It will also pick up anything else around your house, outside if its next to a window, and the static is unreal!

You have to turn the monitor up VERY loudly to hear your baby. However the louder you turn it the louder the static and background noise. Its impossible to sleep through. The range isnt good either. I have a 2000 sq foot house, which is average. It wont work from one end to the other! You can barely hear anything. Forget about trying to go outside while your baby naps, you wont hear him scream!

If you're looking for something that is inexpensive and just to get the job done it will work. If you live in a small apartment or home is best.
