Pros: Good looking, comfort, finish, nice stereo, dark window tinting and fun engine.
Cons: Poorly designed hood release, road noise at speed, bad stock tires.
The Bottom Line: This is a buy, the combination of looks, price, utility and compactness make this a nice family car. I only wish we'd been able to wait and get the hybrid.

Review: We did quite alot of research into the smaller SUV's before deciding to get the Escape. It combined all of the features we needed and had a very nice price as well.
The Escape's a good little ride. We got the XLT 2 wheel drive model with... |

Pros: Horsepower, ride, handling, price, looks, upgrades, towing capacity.
Cons: Leather seats are hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Electrical gremlins.
The Bottom Line: This SUV is truly best in it's class. I could have picked any SUV, including luxury, and I loved the Escape the most.

Review: I purchased my 2002 Ford Escape XLT in Oct 2001. It is yellow with leather seats, tow package, sun/moon roof and the upgrade Mach stereo with the 6 disk in dash CD. I absolutely love this vehicle.
Reasons for buying: I test drove a PT... |

Review: I traded in my Lexus - so I'm new to SUV's and American made vehicles. But I was looking for something that would give me more flexibility and was fun to drive the 2002 Escape fit the bill.
I first test drove the sister-SUV the Mazda... |

Pros: Smooth quiet car-like ride, nice solid feel, lots of cargo space, good gas milage
Cons: I think the seat fabric and the interior is a little plain looking

Review: Sharp looking body design with the contrasting color on the bottom. I like the nice heavy, solid doors, too. I enjoy being able to access the cargo area using either the window or the door and it has plenty of room in the cargo area for groceries...

Pros: Great Value
Cons: Not enough power
The Bottom Line: This is a great SUV if power isn't an issue.

Review: My wife and I are starting a family and we wanted a car that gave us the 4 doors and space in the back. A natural choice was the SUV. I have always liked ford trucks and was very happy with the one I had. However, a child seat doesn't fit well into...

Pros: V6 engine, looks, price, XLT version
Cons: Base model slow and boring
The Bottom Line: Great price for an SUV that fits in your garage and also carries everything you need.

Review: I don't actually own an escape, but I still drive them everyday. I work for Hertz Rent-A-Car and we have had the escapes now for almost a year.
When we first got the Escape's I tried them out all the time an have grown to really like the XLT... |

Pros: Fantastic V6, Fun to Drive, Versatile for the City
Cons: Brake dust, Loud engine and interior, Engine 'knocking', No full-sized spare.
The Bottom Line: A lot of SUV and features with some annoying cons, but with pros that outweigh these short-comings.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Well first off, my previous automobile was a used 1990 Toyota Camry, a gift at age 16. What a difference between the two. Many seasoned SUV owners probably don't realize just how much more interior space an SUV has versus the typical mid-sized...

Pros: Ford - Versatile, Great Customer Service, and Attractive
Cons: New Wardrobe Will Need to be purchased!
The Bottom Line: The vehicle is #1 purchasing reason. Next are customer service & incentives. Ford, a company believing customers should come first, definitely trains its people well. FORD ESCAPE equals customer's satisfaction.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Enough has been written for FORD Escape especially in consumer reports (www.consumerreports.org) and auto magazines, so I won t bore you with technical and testing details. Consumer Reports classifies Ford Escape as a very good vehicle to have.
