My friend recently purchased this 2006 Ford Ranger. It has a great look to it, just a nice classic truck. When in the 2wd, I noticed the power the car had, and how strong its acceleration was.
We took this car into Utah and did a little off-roading, as we usually do with a friend's new truck, and this car performed greatly. It had no problem going over large bumps, and even some big logs. Another suprise was that it had a decently smooth ride for such a tough truck.
Another high point is that this car did get pretty good gas mileage, around 15 MPG. Also, the 2006 Ford Ranger had great quality, in the first few months of ownership, my friend had no trips to the shop.
One problem I noticed with this car is that it had small, uncomfortable rear-seating. Not only that, but it was very hard to get in the backs seats without having everyone get out of the car.
Overall, this is a powerful, tough truck.
