I was told that I began speaking when I was nine months old. I have not shut up since! I learned to read and write at four years of age, and I was the kid who, when asked to write a 500 word book report, would turn in a 3,000 word essay! What can I say? I am a nerd! And now, as a wife and mother and on the young side of thirty-something, I am back in college, with words ready to go!

But, instead of lugging around yet another book around campus, I was told by fellow classmates that this electronic dictionary would have every-word-in-the-book!

I needed this for several classes that I am currently enrolled in, as well as projects that I take home with me. AS a busy mom, I have little time to flip through pages, and this is so handy, that I can take it with me anywhere to get some unschedualed learning in at opportune moments! I bought this bad baby online, and I paid $109.00, which is alot less the the Campus Bookstore sold these for. We are not required in my classes to have these, so it was a free-will option. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, and how you communicate is very important when trying to compete in the business world, so it subliminally improves your vocabulary while you work. Myself, I love the website www.dictionary.com, so this is just a portable version of that for me! It is letter heaven!

In this handheld, you can find any of 200,000 or more words along with a thesaurus containing at or around 500,00 synonyms for your key terms and term papers! This is a talking dictionary in case you have a difficult time pronouncing a word. Which I do not, because I am a talker and I ramble words left and right! This is a 2 in 1. It is all that you need! It has an built in roladex that also allows you to have your contacts organized, and you can buy memory cards called Franklin Book Cards that have various types of learning texts that you can download and keep handy if you are in Spanish class, or History. It has video and learning games, such as hangman, word train and more. It has spell check, so if you type in a word and miss a vowel or add one to many "t's", then they will match your misspellings with possible words that you may have meant to say. It takes care of you in every aspect of speech, english and vocabulary. It will not let you down!


My Standards And How This Product Measured Up On The Richter Scale

This is a 5.0!! It exceeded my expectations and saved me alot of time and energy. I find it fun to use in everyday language as well. And, very handy when arguing with your spouse ~ that thesaurus can come up with quite some fightin' words!! This is also good if you have school aged children as I do, who have to lug home huge dictionaries in their backpacks. This is a must have gift for any college student!
