Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000ES = PERFECT!!!

With two years of water restrictions in our N. Texas community and a family of five, we decided it was time to do our small part and purchase a washer/dryer that conserves water and has improved energy efficiency. After two weeks of research and price shopping we decided that the Frigidaire Affinity offered the best price/performance of any front loader on the market. Also, Frigidaire manufactures more front loading washers than any other manufacturer.

With any major appliance purchase you run some risk of the washer not living up to expectations, as you can't actually test it at the store. I'm happy to say this washer exceeded our expectations once we had it delivered and installed.

As a dad that rarely does wash, (I'm a mower/edger), this washer/dryer set is so cool I did the first three loads. It's very quite, cleans great and the wash and dry cycles are quick for a front loader - 35 min on the normal cycle. Even washing lots of towels and jeans the loads stay balanced and the washer stays whisper quiet. Paired with the 7000 series dryer the wash and dry cycles are identical so there is no waiting on the dryer to finish. My favorite feature is that the washer automatically determines how much water to use based on the amount of clothes put into the wash. The Affinity 7000 series washer also has a built in heater found primarily in models costing hundreds of dollars more. Both washer and dryer controls are very intuitive and I did not have to read the manual to figure out how to use either appliance.
