I did a lot of research before buying this little gem. In my experience with digital cameras, Fujifilms and Nikons are the best in quality and durability, so I knew I wanted a camera from one of these 2 brands as I looked.
The A900 has a surprising 9 megapixels; surprising because the price is so low! It is also very small and lightweight; very portable. The preview screen is also a nice size.
The picture quality is excellent, and has lots of different picture modes to choose from, such as "night", "beach", "snow", "indoor", etc, as well as the standard automatic. It also has a "movie mode" for taking video (with sound!); digital cameras with sound capabilities while recording, especially in this price range, are not always readily available, so this is a nice feature.
During the first week that I used it, I tried it in all kinds of lighting, indoor and outdoor, and all the pictures came out very nicely. I even set the camera to "sport mode" as I rode a bike thru a quaint town, and the pictures came out crystal clear, even though I was whizzing by as I snapped the pictures. I am so thrilled with this camera; I cannot recommend it enough!
