Author's Review
I lost the battery charger. I know it's my fault, but the issue is trying to get a replacement. There is a web site for accessories, but they don't offer the plug in charger. I finally got a part number AC5VZ, but can't order it since no one, not even Fuji sells it. The camera costs $200.00 and is now useless. For over a month it has been an ongoing issue to order, then have it cancelled, calling and speaking with people who transfer you from one place to another, employees who are left alone and tell you that you have to call back the next day because no one is there for them to ask. It's better to obtain a camera from a company that values its customers. As far as the camera working, I only got to use it once. It seemed like a nice camera. If anyone wants to purchase it from me, sans a charger it's available. I've written a letter to Fuji and expressed my dissatisfaction with their service. Here is a copy of that letter:
I realize it was my fault to begin with, but I have lost/misplaced or otherwise cannot locate my OEM cable to charge the battery to my Z5 camera. I have attempted numerous times to contact, order online, contact, order some kind of replacement cable. The amount of time Ive spent has accumulated to hours and is now beyond the price Ive paid for your product.
The employees you have working for this organization must have majored in Pass-The-Buck practice and theory, for everyone Ive spoken with has successfully passed-the-buck to another department or outside organization. Internally Ive been told everyone has gone home and I cant ask someone a question. (Then why is an incompetent person answering the phone?) I have not been rude to any of your Ineffective graduates who willingly dont have the ability to handle a simple order. I can only imagine what someone who has a real issue must face.
I need part number AC5VZ. How I obtain this I have no idea. When it would be available for shipping, I have no idea. Whether you could sell this item to me at a potentially substantial cost, I have no idea. If you have anyone who has any customer service skills working for you, or has the ability to decipher the underlying meaning of this communication, I HAVE NO IDEA.
I will tell you that I am buying a different camera from another company, such as HP, Canon, or Olympus who will stand behind their products, offer assistance, and is concerned about their image in the global market. I will post my experience with every web site I can find and let others know what kind of ineffectual company you really are.
