The center of my kitchen!

This year, I've completed a complete remodeling project in my home. My family spends most of our time at home in our kitchen, so we decided to use the largest portion of our budget to redesign this "holy" place.

A very important decision to us was to choose the right range hood. We cook a lot and therefore wanted a powerful hood to suck out all of the heat and fumes. Our problem was that most of the powerful range hoods that we came across did not have the modern feel that we were looking for.

We explained our situation to our designer (we thank him till this day) and he pointed us in the direction of Futuro Futuro brand of range hoods. We soon learned that these modern looking beauties pack quite a bit of power in them.

We immediately drove to their showroom in New York to see their products in person. The first thing that we noticed is the stainless steel looks MUCH better in real life than on pictures. We played around with a few models (tested the different speed settings, lights, timer etc..).

After a few days of thinking and consulting with our contractor, we purchased the Symbol - Island model. We had it installed using a 6" duct to vent the air to the outside (as recommended by Futuro Futuro).

The unit itself is very powerful. Even though we do a lot of cooking, we never need to use the higher speeds. The range hood itself is very quiet - we don't even hear it operate on the lower speeds. This small detail is very important to us as we all sit around the Island for dinner, and would hate to hear a lot of noise originating from the hood.

Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase. We constantly get compliments for our kitchen design, especially for the beauty of our range hood.
