Very satisfied; The dryness sensor system is amazing
Pros:
Dryness sensor system is incredible; Time remaining displayed; Delay Start; Programmable cycle; Flexible preset cycles
Cons:
Extend Tumble feature not automatically on; must activate for each load
The Bottom Line:
I have used the dryer for 4 months and have been thrilled with every aspect; clothes evenly dried, fewer wrinkles, automatically adjusts cycle as it senses the dryness/dampness of clothes.

Author's Review
I wanted to replace my old Kenmore dryer because I felt the temperature sensor wasnt as precise as it could be. I also found that mixed loads threw the sensor for a loop, so to speak. Some items would come out of the dryer dried to a crisp, while others were not even close to being dry. The dryer was only 8 years old, but it just didnt treat my clothes very well. I wanted more and hoped that the features advertised on this GE model would do the trick. Im happy to report that they have indeed lived up to my expectations!
My clothes are far less wrinkled (this starts with the frontload GE washer, which I also own and wrote a review of) and are dried very quickly. In fact, the time it takes to dry bath towels is downright amazing compared to how long my old dryer took. It was a major frustration of mine that I had to keep resetting the dryer, adding time, so it would dry the towels thoroughly enough. Not this GE I havent had to think about it once. When the signal goes off, the towels are perfectly dried and cooled down.
I cant say enough positive things about this dryer. It really does have an incredible sensor system. It automatically adjusts the cycle time as the clothes are drying, based on the dampness of the clothes. For example, my work clothes (washable, lightweight blouses, jackets, and slacks) used to take a good 40 50 minutes to dry and then I wasnt real satisfied with their condition when the load stopped. This dryer is so quick that some lightweight loads are dry in as little as 14 minutes. In fact, I often find myself surprised at how quickly the laundry gets done.
Its also very flexible with regard to how much you can adjust the preset cycles (see additional info below). The only aspect Ive had a hard time adjusting to is the fact that you must press the Extend Tumble button each time you run a load. If I forget to press the button, when the load is dry and the signal goes off alerting me to the fact, the dryer doesnt keep tumbling the clothes without heat. But thats my only complaint.
Ive had the dryer for 4 months and have been absolutely thrilled with every aspect of how this dryer dries my clothes they are evenly dried, they arent wrinkled, they are properly cooled down, and the dryer automatically adjusts the cycle time as it senses the dryness / dampness of the clothes.
Here are the preset cycles and the length of time for each: Cotton (55min); Mixed Load (48min); Easy Care (49min); Active Wear (45min); Delicates (19min); Speed Dry (23min); Dewrinkle (15min); Air Fluff (10min); Timed Dry (10min 2hr). Each of these cycles has corresponding dryness levels and drying temperatures preset. The preset dryness level and drying temp are displayed when you select a cycle. The great thing is that they can be adjusted. The Sensor Dry Level choices are More Dry, Dry, Less Dry, and Damp. The Dry Temp choices are Anti-bacterial, High, Medium, Low, and Extra Low. In addition to the preset cycles listed above, there is My Cycle, which you can program with your favorite settings.
There is an Extend Tumble button that, when pressed before or during a drying cycle, will continue to tumble the clothes without heat after the cycle is complete. There is a Damp Alert button that signals you when clothes are still damp. You can, for example, remove certain items from a load that you dont want dried all the way or that you want to iron while still damp. Then restart the dryer to allow the rest of the load to continue to dry. Just like on the matching washer, there is a Delay Start feature. You can add the clothes to the dryer tub and then set the delay start for up to 12 hours (in one hour increments). And, as with the washer, the volume on the audible signal can be made louder, quieter or even muted.
I purchased the GE model DCVH515EFWW electric dryer four months ago and am totally satisfied with its features and performance.
