Initially Great, Then Terrible

Bought the Harmony washer and dryer about 2 years ago and initially quite please with performance. However, just after the 1 year warranty expired it stopped working. This was the beginning of my GE nightmare.

First, GE makes you wait ALL DAY for the repair tech to come. Even the cable company gives you a tighter window than that! If you call to inquire the day of service, they will not tell you anything and say there's no way to contact them. So, you buy a high-end product and expect white glove treatment? Actually, you're treated with considerable disrespect by customer service personnel with little to no training or inter-personal skills. Supervisors were just as bad.

Second, after the circuit board burned up, the blower went. Then, the heater blower went. In less than 1 year we've had to endure 4 service calls, triple that in frustrating calls to customer service, hundreds of dollars in repair costs, and over 50 hours of waiting for GE techs to show up.

Although these appliances look good and initially perform well, I'd highly recommend avoiding them. Even though you might feel comfortable with a GE product, the customer service was exceptionally disappointing. Don't expect this product to last much past the original warranty period.
