Ask any repair shop!

I repair appliances for a living. In 20 years of working on appliances I've never seen a design this bad. Don't leave home with it running, it may flood your house. I've seen 5 in the last six months. I hope the insurance companies are keeping track of flood claims caused by G.E. and Hotpoint washers and make G.E. pay up. Then there are many other problems too! You will be lucky if it lasts more than 4 years! G.E. is robbing you blind and destroying your house!
However, as a repairman I should thank them for keeping me in business. It is a shame the don't build them like they used to. Just so you don't think I have it out for G.E., I will say that I think their Spectra range is the one of the best you can buy.
