GPX CR1807 Clock Radio: inaccurate clock & poor radio reception

I have two major complaints about this unit:

1. the clock gains about 5 minutes per day. This is pretty useless unless you set it daily. Wind-ups are more reliable and require no power.

2. The FM reception is poorer than any other radio device in my house. The quality of the sound is quite poor but what makes it nearly useless as a radio is the hum (60 Hertz).

Is there someway to adjust the timing on the clock? You know like vertical adjustment of the length of the pendulum on those much more reliable manual pendulum wall clocks?
